

His most prominent cases include The Alhani (scope of the Hague Rules time bar) and The Eternal Bliss (availability of damages in addition to demurrage), as well as appeals to the Supreme Court in The DC Merwestone (fraudulent device doctrine in insurance law) and Stott v Thomas Cook (a leading case on the exclusivity of the Montreal Convention). He is equally at home in arbitration (including LMAA, LCIA, ICC and GAFTA). Tom has represented clients in the Commercial Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. In 2022, Tom was shortlisted for Shipping, Commodities and Aviation Junior of the Year at the Chambers UK Bar Awards.
